Who’s Karli Drew?
Hi! I’m Karli Drew — a Disabled and vibrant-haired writer, creator, consultant, and activist. I specialize in all things disability.
When I’m not working or fighting injustices… you can find me sipping on iced coffee, rambling about my special interests, and/or making lame jokes about my disabilities (see what I did there?).
What services do you offer?
If it’s disability-related, ethical, and I can do it, I’m in! Find some specific examples on my services page.
How can I enlist your services?
Send me an email with a brief overview of what you’re looking for and we’ll take it from there.
What are your rates?
I aim to accommodate all budgets because accessibility includes that of the financial variety. Once we discuss your expectations and budget, I will use a curated formula to calculate a quote and send it your way before we seal the deal.
If your company or organization has a standard rate for the requested service, please make a note of that in your introductory email.
Are you interested in doing speaking, press, or other media engagements? Would you be a panelist for [x event]?
If it’s in my lane, ethical, and my schedule permits: heck yes! Let’s do it.
How do you keep your hair so bloody vibrant?!
A lifetime of trial and error! (Plus a bunch of happy accidents.)
Why are you in a wheelchair?
Ugh, such a terribly boring question! I have a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
…But what the heck is SMA?
Basically, the brain-to-body signals tasked with telling my muscles to do a thing are uncooperative in nature.
How do you pee? Can you h—
